Lawn Bowls

SCC members must join Lawn Bowls Section to play this sport by signing up through forms available at the Front desk or online. Lawn Bowls is played in many formats and at the Club there are Social bowls and Competitive bowls – Competitions and Tournaments locally and internationally. We have many events throughout the year to keep members occupied.

Bookings
Advance booking for Private Bowls is required through the Sports Department at SportsDept@scc.org.sg for a quote on the cost and other details.


Other Information
1. Club members are welcomed to contact the Sports Department at SportsDept@scc.org.sg to arrange for an introduction to the sport of bowls.
2. Guests may be permitted to play with Convenor’s approval and registration by an introducing Section Member at the sign-in book available at the Lawn Bowls counter.
3. Eating and smoking are strictly prohibited on the Bowling Green.
4. No glassware in the Bowling Green.


Dress Code
All players must wear flat soled shoes when on the Bowling Green.
Bowls section may conduct ‘Bare foot fun bowls sessions’ whereupon bare feet play may be allowed. This will be specific to this Bowls committee declared session only.

In all socials, organised friendlies, competitions, tournaments, all players must be attired in collared section or club shirts and white, pale cream, black or navy bottoms.

For Team events, Friendlies, competitions and Tournaments , all members of the team shall be uniformly dressed in the specified attire by bowls committee for that event.


Youth Development Programme
We welcome members to introduce their children, young family members/spouses and friends to try out the sport of bowls. Coaching and mentoring will be provided as appropriate.
