Padang & Outdoor Sports Facilities Closures Updates

A. Padang Field
The Padang Field is currently OUT OF BOUNDS for reinstatement works and the construction of the F1 SGP Infrastructures. As such, there is NO ACCESS to the Padang to or from the Clubhouse Building for any reason whatsoever.

Heavy traffic by way of heavy goods vehicles and other associated machineries in and out of the Padang from Connaught Drive and St Andrew’s Road can be expected.

B. Other Outdoor Sports Facilities
The Lawn Bowls Green, Tennis Courts, Cricket Nets and Multi-Purpose Court are out of bounds at all times until further notice and no access is permitted to these sports facilities.

We thank our members for their patience, particularly for the continued closure of some of the sports facilities beyond F1 SGP due to the damage assessments and reinstatements that need to be carried out.
With Padang Field handed over to F1 SGP immediately after NDP, access to and from the field for the heavy machinery needed to carry out reinstatement works will not be possible until after F1 SGP has vacated and returned the field to SCC – works will only be able to start after that while facilities remain out of bounds.

Hence, these sports facilities cannot be used during this duration to prevent any further damage and possibly prolonged reinstatements afterwards.

Any Member, guest and/or child attempting to access the Padang and outdoor sports facilities during this closure period does so in express disregard to the foregoing Club Management directive and does so at his/her own risk. The Club Management will not be liable for any damage or personal injury sustained in the direct breach of this directive.
