Padang Field & Outdoor Sports Facilities Closure
As the National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 will be held at the Padang this year, please be informed that the following facilities will be handed over to the 2025 NDP Organising Committee (NDPOC) from the stated dates:
- Padang Field: From Monday, 7 April 2025
- Bowling Green, Tennis Courts, Multi-Purpose Court & Cricket Nets: From Thursday, 24 April 2025
Directive: Padang Field Fully Out of Bounds from 7 April 2025
From Monday, 7 April 2025, onwards, Padang Field will be FULLY OUT OF BOUNDS for ground surveys and construction works. There will also be heavy traffic by way of heavy vehicles and construction machineries via St. Andrews Road and Connaught Drive.
- NO ACCESS will be allowed from the Clubhouse building, St. Andrews’s Road and Connaught Drive, for any reason whatsoever, until further notice.
- Any Member who attempts to access the Padang during this closure period does so in express disregard for the foregoing Club Management directive and does so at his/her own risk.
- The Club Management will not be liable for any action taken by the NDP Security Personnel against persons in direct breach of this directive, nor will it be liable for any damage or personal injury sustained in direct breach of this directive.
Please note:
- From 7 April 2025, field sports activities such as Cricket, Football and Rugby will be shifted to the SCC Dempsey field/ alternative venue, while Hockey will be shifted to other venues.
- From 24 April 2025, Bowls, Netball and Tennis will be shifted to other venues.
- Kindly check with the respective Sections for all their activities arrangements.
