JUNIOR SPORTS MEMBERSHIP

General Information

This category of Membership is open to a Junior Sports Member (JSM) aged between 13 to 26 years of age who demonstrates a marked aptitude and talent to actively play the representative sports.
A prospective JSM must be proposed by the Sports Section Convenor of his/her chosen Sports Section.
A JSM is expected to actively participate in practice/training and ‘play’ in the Sports Section and to represent the Club in age-related in national leagues and tournaments.
A JSM Membership is renewable annually upon the recommendation of the Sports Section Convenor.
JSMs neither pay monthly subscriptions nor have a personal account.
A JSM may purchase an SCC “Red Cash Card” with which to make purchases to meet incidental payments whilst on Club premises.

Other information

  • A JSM is required to pay an Annual Fee of $300/- plus applicable GST when aged 17 years or over, and $120/- plus applicable GST when aged under 17 years.
  • A JSM is renewed every year upon the recommendation of the Sports Section Convenor.
  • Upon reaching the age of 26 years, and should the JSM have completed five years of Membership, he/she shall be permitted to convert to an Ordinary Member.
  • The Club offers generous financial concessionary conversion arrangements to long-standing JSMs.
